Landscape Drainage Solutions
Drainage
Good drainage is essential in Florida. That is why, over the past 10 years, Siesta Key Landscape has worked on several small and large-scale drainage projects aimed at moving standing water, fixing roof drains, and installing bioswales, in accordance with county requirements.
Bioswales, also known as grass swales, vegetated swales, or filter strips, are linear vegetated ditches that allow for the collection and conveyance of stormwater while removing pollution and debris from the same. Bioswales allow water to percolate through the soil and drain naturally.
Longboat Key, Bird Key, Lido Key, Siesta Key, and Casey Key are truly special places and limiting the amount of harmful runoff that ends up in our Gulf is crucial to keeping them that way. With this in mind, Siesta Key Landscape has helped many of our barrier island residents build onsite drainage system to keep stormwater runoff out of the Gulf.
